Pineapples

How to Grow

Cut the top off where it joins the fruit
Break off any loose lower leaves
Apply a Root Hormone
Submerge in water
Does FastRoot work on Pineapple? These three suckers were placed in water at the same time. The left one, in plain tap water, has some root growth. The right one, placed in a Miracle Grow solution, has no root growth. The middle one, placed in tap water but first treated with FastRoot, shows almost twice the root growth as the one in plain water. BTW, I'm told suckers will produce fruit much sooner than plants grown from tops. I'll be planting quite a few this year for the first time so...we'll see.
Place in a window until roots start to extend. Typically 3-10 days. Add water as needed to keep root area submerged.
